Ali Wade is musician and filmmaker based in London. He has a background in music journalism and ran one of the first web forums for electronic music, Overload Media, from 1999-2004.
Ali has DJ'ed for more than 20 years. He’s also been a driving force behind many forward-looking music events - such as Bristol’s Toxic Dancehall, which worked with local sound systems to showcase the mutant bass music of acts like The Bug, Vex’d and Soundmurderer.
2005 saw him first release his own music - on Actress’ Werk Discs and Mat Carter’s Varial Records. After a ten-year production hiatus, he released his debut album ‘Geomorphology’ in 2016 on his own Frequency Domain label. Described by the Quietus as ‘pure healing music’, Geomorphology is a serene work of cosmic explorations loosely themed around natural processes of growth and decay.
An ongoing collaborative project with Anthony Child (aka Surgeon) has seen him perform improvised audiovisual shows in cities around the UK and Europe.
