Michael Gary Dean

Michael Gary Dean is a composer and media artist who straddles the avant-garde edges of digital

art and the traditional veins of classical music. His work has been performed internationally in a

variety of formats, including film, performance and installation, in festivals and spaces such as

MUTEK, the International Symposium of Electronic Art, LEV Festival, Sónar Festival, London’s

Somerset House and in surround sound planetariums.

Dean has recently released several albums for piano and strings after a residency at the Banff

Centre for Arts and Creativity and is now launching his latest project, Forever Meditations, merging

orchestral double bass with meditative electronics.
